Thompson made seven appearances during his spell at Tranmere |
Nottingham Forest have recalled defender John Thompson from his loan spell at League One rivals Tranmere. Thompson, 25, made seven appearances during his time at Rovers, but has now gone straight back into Forest's squad for Saturday's game at Crewe.
Meanwhile, Forest striker Nathan Tyson has been given a clean bill of health after he suffered an eye injury in Tuesday's 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth.
Tyson temporarily lost his sight in his right eye, but has since recovered.
"I banged my head in a collision with the Bournemouth keeper and it got progressively worse until I couldn't see out of the eye," he told the club website.
"I had to come off, but my sight came back towards the end of the game and the doctor at Bournemouth gave me the all-clear."
