Striker Dobie seals Forest move
Scott Dobie
Dobie only spent four months at the New Den
Scotland international striker Scott Dobie has completed his 525,000 move from Millwall to Nottingham Forest.

The 26-year-old, who played under Forest boss Gary Megson at West Brom, has now signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at the City Ground.

Dobie told Forest's website: "I owe the gaffer so much - it's thanks to him that I played in the Premiership.

"He also persuaded the management of the national team to give me the chance to play international football."

Dobie had only moved from the Baggies to south London in November, and scored three goals in 16 league appearances for the Lions.

I was disappointed when Millwall told me they were willing to sell me

"I was a little bit surprised - and disappointed - when Millwall told me they were willing to sell me after just over four months at the club. I was still settling in down there, and it knocked me back.

"But that's in the past now. The fact that Gary is now in charge of Forest was a major factor in my decision to move.

"I would be lying if I said that Forest's position in the league wasn't a concern.

"But having spoken to Gary about how he envisages the club's future, I know I've done the right thing."

He could make his debut for his new club in Saturday's East Midlands derby against Derby County.
