Lambert will now be without Forster for Tuesday's game against Leyton Orient
Paul Lambert has said it is unlikely the Canaries will appeal to the FA after goalkeeper Fraser Forster was sent off on Saturday.
Fraser was given a straight red after he was adjudged to have felled Gillingham's Curtis Weston.
Lambert told BBC Radio Norfolk: "Fraser said he never touched him but there was only one camera at the game so I doubt we'd get it rescinded."
Norwich's next game is against Leyton Orient at Carrow Road on Tuesday.
The manager will now have to pick between Declan Rudd, who came on in place of Forster on Saturday, and Michael Theoklitos, who has not played a first-team game since conceding seven goals on the opening day of the season.
Lambert was impressed by 18-year-old Rudd on his first-team debut.

"He did great - his performance on Saturday was very pleasing," he said.
And the manager insists he has not forgotten Theoklitos and has no concerns about his confidence after his last outing.
"The seven goals were not his fault and he's slowly but surely turning things around."
Defender Jon Otsemobor is the only other doubt for the game on Tuesday night after suffering from a hamstring strain during the match against Gillingham.
