Norwich's Russell in two-game ban

Darel Russell
Darel Russell has been sent off four times in the past two seasons

Norwich City midfielder Darel Russell will serve a two-match ban after being sent off for the second time this season in Saturday's win over Plymouth.

The 28-year-old was dismissed in the final minute of the 1-0 victory at Carrow Road for being shown a second yellow card for a foul on Karl Duguid.

Russell was also sent off in the 2-2 draw with Preston in November.

The former Stoke man will miss the trip to Birmingham City and the home game against Sheffield Wednesday.

The Canaries are also sweating on the fitness of midfielder Wes Hoolahan.

The former Blackpool man had to be substituted at half-time in the win over Argyle with suspected ankle ligament damage.
