Luke Daley gives his first interviews as a fully fledged professional
Norwich City have given 18-year-old striker Luke Daley his first professional contract.
The pacey youngster has signed a two-year deal with the Canaries after scoring 13 goals at youth and reserve levels this season.
He is yet to make his senior debut for the club but was named on the bench for the recent defeat by Stoke City.
Daley told BBC Radio Norfolk: "I'm really excited, I need to get my head down and progress as much as I can."
He becomes the second of the club's academy players, after midfielder Damon Lathrope, to sign professional terms since Glenn Roeder became manager.
Although he is yet to make his first team bow Daley says just being involved in the squad for the Stoke game will serve as an inspiration.
"It gave me a little taste of what I really want to do," Daley said.
The striker was originally released by Norwich when he was 11 years old and was re-signed two years later after impressing for Norfolk village team Mulbarton.
