Jerome is valued at 2m by the Bluebirds |
Norwich boss Nigel Worthington is keen to add Cardiff striker Cameron Jerome to his squad at Carrow Road. Worthington has made enquiries about the 19-year-old England U-21 international, who has scored 13 goals for the Bluebirds this season.
"We made an initial move but that's as far as it's gone," Worthington said.
Cardiff manager Dave Jones values Jerome at 2m, a figure Norwich are unlikely to match unless they sell unsettled forward Dean Ashton.
Several Premiership clubs are thought to have spoken to the Canaries about Ashton, who is their top-scorer with 11 goals this season.
Worthington is keen to ensure his strike force remains a threat and said of Jerome: "He is a player that we like very much, he would be a very useful addition to our squad."
