Northampton Town manager Stuart Gray will not stand in Mark Bunn's way if he receives a suitable offer for the highly-rated 23-year-old goalkeeper.
Bunn has been training at Manchester City this week, although he injured his hip in his first session, and has attracted interest from other clubs.
Gray told BBC Radio Northampton: "I've told the players I won't stand in their way if they were improving themselves.
"But any move would have to be at the right price."
He added: "You can't stop speculation, it's that time of the year when there is going to be speculation.
Bunn has enjoyed another good season at Sixfields and is favourite to win the player of the year award for a second season running.
Gray thinks Bunn enjoyed his spell at Eastlands despite picking up an injury.
"He had a little sample, he had a nice little taste, he was very excited that he was working with Joe Hart and seeing the set-up there.
"He's watching them on the TV so he's actually rubbing shoulders with them, so it's a great lift for him and something he enjoyed."
Gray believes Bunn is good enough to play in the Premier League.
"You've got to set goals and hopefully Mark has got them goals to play in the Premiership.
"Personally I think he has got the qualities to kick on and be a very good goalkeeper and play in the top flight."
