Gray says some of his squad are playing for their futures

Northampton Town manager Stuart Gray has warned his players that he will not allow their season to just fizzle out.

The Cobblers drew 1-1 with Cheltenham Town on Saturday meaning their play-off hopes are now all but over.

Some players are out of contract in the summer and Gray told BBC Radio Northampton they are now playing for their futures.

"Decisions haven't been made yet. I need to sit down with the chairman and discuss what the budget is."

Gray wants his players to show professional pride from now until the end of the season.

"You're as good as your last game and the way some of them played in the first-half wasn't acceptable," he added.
