Jones extends Cobblers loan stay
Daniel Jones
Jones was set to return to Wolves
Northampton Town have extended the loan stay of Wolves left-back or left-winger Daniel Jones until 25 January.

Jones, 21, has been at Sixfields since July and his initial deal had been due to expire after New Year's Day.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy had initially said before Christmas that Jones would be returning to Molineux, but he has now agreed to a month's extension.

Cobblers boss Stuart Gray said: "We are delighted that Daniel will be staying and I would like to thank Mick."

Jones will be unavailable for this weekend's trip to Leeds due to suspension, but will stay with the club until after the 25 January clash with Leyton Orient.

Gray added: "I am sure this will benefit all concerned.

"Daniel has been gaining experience and has done very well for us and I know he has been enjoying his football. We are very pleased he will be here for a while longer."
