Northampton defender Jason Crowe has signed a new two-year deal. Crowe, 28, looked likely to sign for League One rivals Nottingham Forest after travelling to discuss terms with former Cobblers boss Colin Calderwood.
Boss Stuart Gray told Cobblers' website: "There was interest from elsewhere and it was right for Jason to explore it.
"The fact he wants to stay and we've beaten it off shows quality players are keen to join or stay with us."
