Northampton defender Chris Doig has signed a new two-year contract. Doig, 26, joined on a free transfer in the summer of 2005 after leaving Nottingham Forest and has made over 90 appearances for the Cobblers.
Boss Stuart Gray told the club website: "He has been as solid as a rock for us on a consistent basis and has captained the side with distinction.
"He is a player who would no doubt have attracted attention from elsewhere, possibly from Championship clubs."
