Northampton have signed Reading defender Alex Pearce on a month's loan to cover an injury crisis at Sixfields. The 18-year-old is a product of Reading's youth system, and has played one first-team game this season, in the FA Cup tie at Burnley.
Cobblers boss Stuart Gray told his club's website: "Alex is a good young defender who will help us out over the next few weeks.
"He's got a good pedigree and we're pleased Alex himself is happy to come."
