Newport County have signed experienced midfielder Jon Challinor on a short-term contract.
The 29-year-old made his debut as a substitute in County's 2-1 defeat at home to Kettering.
Challinor, who came through the ranks at Rushden & Diamons, enjoyed his best career spells with Aldershot and Exeter City.
At the Shots, he scored 21 goals in 78 Conference appearances while he made 87 starts for Exeter, scoring 22 times.
Challinor has also featured for Cambridge United, Mansfield Town and Brackley Town.
"Jon is an experienced League and Conference attacking midfield player with an impressive goals-to-games ratio," said County boss Dean Holdsworth.
"His attitude also impressed me in that within hours of first speaking to him he jumped in the car to make sure that his paperwork was signed in time to be included in Saturday's squad."
