Newcastle United coach Chris Hughton says he expects Joey Barton to be available for the final five games of the season.
Barton, 26, has been out since January, when he broke a metatarsal bone in his right foot against Manchester City.
But Hughton told the club's official website: "We're looking at having Joey back for the last four or five matches.
"It's been very frustrating for him and for us, but when we get him back it will be a big bonus."
Barton has only managed eight games for Newcastle this season, and just two since Christmas.
His only goal came in a 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion back in October.
