Newcastle United striker Mark Viduka believes the Magpies must take a leaf out of Fulham's book if they are to stay in the Premier League this season.
The Cottagers travel to St James' Park on Saturday on the back of a recent revival and Viduka feels Newcastle have to match their mettle and spirit.
"When you're desperate you find energy from everywhere and you fight for every ball," he told BBC Radio Newcastle.
"That's what we have to do as well and it could change the whole scenario."
Injury has ravaged Viduka's career in recent seasons and the fit-again Australian admitted it has been a frustrating time since arriving on Tyneside.
"I would have liked to have played more games, especially for Kevin Keegan," he said.
"I had a bit of a problem with my calf and hamstring and I couldn't play."
