Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan has praised England striker Michael Owen for breaking his goal duck in the 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough on Sunday. Owen grabbed his first Premier League goal since October to give Newcastle the lead and Keegan was quick to pay tribute after the game.
He told BBC Radio Newcastle: "This country has a habit of knocking its great players.
"It was the kind of goal he's been scoring since he was a kid."

Keegan is yet to win a game since taking over as manager but feels that the talent available means the first three points are not far away.
"When you look at your bench and you've got people like Viduka on there, Ameobi and the young Milner you're thinking 'Yeah I can change things'," he added.
"We'll have a strong squad for when Manchester United come here and we'll need it."
