Newcastle are set to announce striker Patrick Kluivert is leaving the club after just one season following his free transfer from Barcelona. The Magpies had an option to sign the 28-year-old for a further two years, but did not take it up after the Dutchman's disappointing year.
Kluivert is wanted by a host of Spanish clubs including Valencia, Seville and Real Betis.
But he has ruled out a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.
He told the News of the World: "I am going back to Spain and not Turkey."
Kluivert arrived at Newcastle on a free transfer from Barcelona last summer.
He has started only 14 Premiership games for the Magpies, with 10 appearances from the bench, and scored six league goals.
