Motherwell manager McCall looks for reinforcements
McCall feels he needs to strengthen his squad
Motherwell manager Stuart McCall reiterated his intention to strengthen his squad after watching his side suffer the first loss of his tenure.
Well went down 2-0 to Dundee United at Tannadice, with McCall still looking for a league win.
"I've got to bring a couple of players in, there's no doubt about that," McCall told BBC Scotland.
"I'm working every hour so that we can get somebody or people in that are going to make us a better side."
Second half goals by Johnny Russell and David Goodwillie consigned Motherwell to defeat but Chris Humphrey came close to levelling for Motherwell before Goodwillie's late clincher.
"I don't think we started the best," added McCall. "We weathered the storm and then I thought we had a lot of good possession and got into areas where we could've threatened but never pulled the trigger or got a shot off or threatened the keeper.
"I was disappointed to lose a goal to set piece so early on (after the break).
"And then we huffed and puffed and Humphrey's chance with about five minutes to go, the keeper's made a fantastic save. On another day we could've come away with 1-1.
"I'm hugely disappointed to lose the game.
"But we've got to look forward now. We've got two home games coming up, we've had three away games to start with.
"We need to look to go and beat Inverness on Saturday. We've got to be all guns blazing.
"The squad definitely needs strengthened and we'll be looking to do that in the near future."
