Motherwell full-back Steven Hammell has signed a two-year contract extension at Fir Park.
The 28-year-old returned to the Lanarkshire club in January 2008 after an eighteen-month spell at Southend.
Hammell, capped once for Scotland in a 2004 friendly, made his Motherwell debut in April 2000 and has made 334 appearances for them since then.
"I just want to continue to keep on doing my best for the club," Hammell told the Motherwell website.
"There's quite a few of the boys out of contract here and hopefully I'll be the first of many to stay on for a while yet.
"We've done fairly well this season so if we can keep the core of the squad together then who knows where we can go."
