McGhee admits 'Well uncertainty

Mark McGhee
Mark McGhee will now mull over his future after a successful season

Motherwell manager Mark McGhee says he would have to think seriously about his future following continued specualtion linking him with the Hearts post.

Speaking after the Steelmen's 2-0 win at Hibernian, he insisted he had no plans to leave Fir Park.

"I will be here until something changes and that will require another club, if that's what's going to happen, to speak to Motherwell," explained McGhee.

"Other people might be making plans so we will just have to wait and see."

Simon Lappin opened the scoring before substitute Jamie Murphy netted a 50th-minute penalty as Well dominated possession at Easter Road.

McGhee - who has taken Well from the brink of the First Division to the Uefa Cup in one season - added: "If someone does come in for me I am going to have to really think long and hard about it.

"I have moved before and it has ended up not being the right thing. So I will think twice about anything we do.

"And then there will still be a lot of discussion because we have reached Europe. I'm looking forward to that at the moment."
