Stephen Craigan is looking forward to European football
Stephen Craigan hopes to realise one of his remaining ambitions in football after qualifying for the Uefa Cup with Motherwell.
"It's something I always wanted to do as a player. I've played for my country, I've played for Motherwell.
"I've been fortunate enough to captain my country one night too, but I'd love to play European club football.
"Hopefully now if the manager keeps me on for next season I'll get the opportunity to do that."
Veteran defender Craigan is ecstatic after edging out Dundee United and Hibs for the Uefa Cup spot
"'Wow' is the word. It's been unbelievable, compared to where we were last year when we played St Mirren at Fir Park and just about stayed in the league.
"For us to have even been pushing for top six would have been good, but I think we've exceeded our own expecations.
"It's been 12 or 14 years since Motherwell have even contemplated European football, so it's a wonderful occasion."
