Mark McGhee said his players must be brave in possession at Ibrox
Motherwell manager Mark McGhee hailed his side following the 2-1 win over Aberdeen at Fir Park boosted Well's hopes of finishing in third place.
"Both teams were going for it and Jimmy Calderwood knew his side had to win as a draw wasn't good enough," he said.
"Aberdeen equalised when they were in the ascendancy, so we've done terribly well to go and win the game.
"We're not taking anything for granted. But the great thing is we've got Hibs to play - they're in our sights."
McGhee said he had faith in his squad that they could go to Easter Road and beat Hibs in the final game of the season, if third spot was still up for grabs.
The Motherwell manager also believes the club has made great progress this season.
"What we need to do now is establish better players in the squad and, if we are in Europe next season, to give them that experience," McGhee said.
"Hibs have different ideas. They will go to Celtic Park knowing they've got to win the game, so we'll see what happens."
