Motherwell manager Mark McGhee expressed disbelief that his side had lost to Hearts despite putting in what he thought was an excellent display. "I hope the fans will appreciate the quality of football that we are playing," he said after the 2-0 loss.
"Some of it was terrific, but our finishing was desperate.
"We were the better football team, but the same happened against Kilmarnock. So to play so well and not win again was very disappointing."
