McDonald asked for a transfer at the end of last season |
Motherwell manager Maurice Malpas insists that striker Scott McDonald will not be sold during the winter transfer window. The 23-year-old, who has 18 months to run on his contract, had a transfer request rejected in the summer and has bagged nine league goals so far.
"He will be here beyond January," promised Malpas.
"When we get to the end of the season, we will have another look at the situation then."
Newspaper stories have linked Norwich with the Australian striker, while Malpas dismissed reports of a failed bid from Southend.
"There is nothing in it - it's complete clap-trap," said the Fir Park manager.
