Morton have signed Brian Wake after the striker was released by First Division rivals Hamilton Academical. The 24-year-old had been with Hamilton for two years, scoring 13 goals in 73 appearances, more than half of which were as a substitute.
He is available for selection in Morton's Scottish Cup tie against Queen of the South on Saturday.
Wake, previously of Carlisle United and Gretna, had joined Hamilton from Scarborough in January 2006.
