Shaw has only scored four goals in more than 600 career games

Shaw joined the club last summer from Coventry and made a big impact, playing 47 games and winning the player of the season award.

The 38-year-old centre-half began his career with Crystal Palace and then spent 11 years with the Sky Blues.

"I'm delighted to be staying here," Shaw told the club website. "I thoroughly enjoyed last year and hope the next 12 months are even better.
