Maurice Ross has fallen out of favour with Scotland |
Former Rangers and Wolves defender Maurice Ross will sign for English League One side Millwall subject to a successful medical. Millwall boss Nigel Spackman said Ross was signing after the recommendation of another former Rangers player at the New Den, Derek McInnes.
Ross impressed in their recent 1-0 friendly defeat by Reading.
The Scotland international defender, 25, was not offered a new deal by Wolves at the end of last season.
Ross, a product of the Rangers youth system, left Ibrox in 2005 but failed to settle with Sheffield Wednesday.
He moved on to Wolves in January after a successful loan spell.
Spackman told the Lions' website: "Maurice has got a great CV and looks a good player.
"He's an excellent professional and did very well."
Ross came on at half-time and could solve the Lions' right-back problem.
He would expand the contingent of former Rangers players at Millwall.
Spackman, who himself had a spell at Ibrox, has also recruited midfielder McInnes from Dundee United and striker Tom Brighton from Clyde.
