Former Liverpool and Chelsea midfielder Nigel Spackman has been named as the new manager of Millwall. The 45-year-old, who has managed Sheffield United and Barnsley, takes charge with immediate effect.
Lions chairman Stewart Till told the club's website: "Nigel possesses the requisite vision, commitment and footballing intelligence.
"He has a plan to restore Millwall to our rightful position as, at the least, one of the leading Championship clubs."
Spackman, who also played for Rangers, has most recently been working as a television pundit.
Millwall parted company with David Tuttle in April after relegation to League One, two years after appearing in the FA Cup final, where they lost to Manchester United.
