Theo Paphitis has admitted to being upset by Millwall's fans turning on him - but denied it has affected his decision to quit as chairman. "I can't pretend that some of the chanting during the defeat to Wigan was pleasant," Paphitis wrote in Millwall's official match programme.
"I understand that our fans are frustrated that we have not been able to make all our summer signings.
"This has not been for the want of trying, and believe me, we have tried."
Paphitis will stand down as chairman at the end of the season.
