Middlesbrough have signed Tottenham full-back Kyle Naughton on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old moved to White Hart Lane from Sheffield United in July 2009 in a joint deal with Kyle Walker that was worth a reported £10m.

But he has made only three first-team appearances for Spurs this season.

"Hopefully I can get a couple of games and help Middlesbrough start moving up the table," Naughton told Boro's official website.

"I had a pretty good season in the Championship with Sheffield United last season so hopefully I can carry that on now with Middlesbrough.

"The lads have already made me feel very welcome here and all I really want to do now is play football."

Naughton played at right-back and left-back for the Blades and can also operate in midfield.
