Middlesbrough's Jeremie Aliadiere keen to prove fitness
Aliadiere has scored five goals this season
Middlesbrough striker Jeremie Aliadiere is confident his ankle has recovered enough to put him in contention for Saturday's trip to Sheffield United.
Aliadiere, 26, picked up an injury on Boxing Day against Scunthorpe and following a rest period is now hopeful of a return to the team.
"I feel good in training, I feel sharp and I'm ready to get back out there," the French forward told BBC Tees.
"I've been training for a few days and I hope my ankle will be fine now."
The former France Under-21 international has experienced little success on his previous trips to Bramall Lane with Arsenal and Boro.
"It's always been a very difficult and tricky ground and game to go to," he said.
"It seems that you start thinking things like that because you always remember games that you played at that ground and the result you got and it seems some grounds and some teams don't work for you.
"To be honest, every time I've played there I've never had a good game and never get really good results so hopefully that will change and we'll get a good result there."
Aliadiere has made 31 appearances for the Teessiders this season, scoring five goals.
