Middlesbrough have admitted a Football Association charge of failing to control their players during their 3-0 defeat to West Brom on 17 January.
The charge relates to the conduct of Boro's players towards referee Mark Halsey after he sent off Didier Digard for a tackle on Borja Valero.
A handful of Middlesbrough players surrounded Halsey, who dropped one of his cards.
The club have requested a personal hearing, which is yet to be scheduled.
Boro are 19th in the Premier League after a run of 12 league games without a win.
