Boss Southgate rubbishes reports
Gareth Southgate
Southgate is not worried about his position at Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has denied newspaper reports about his future and that striker Mido had disappeared without the club's consent.

"I don't need any public backing because I know what's said to me in private and that's good enough for me," Southgate told the club's website.

"There have been stories about Mido going back to Egypt without permission which is nonsense.

"He had an injection into an injury and we told him to go home to rest."
