Aliadiere started only 19 senior games for Arsenal |
New Middlesbrough signing Jeremie Aliadiere has said that leaving Arsenal after seven years was not a difficult decision to make. "I needed to play for a club where I am going to play every week and show what I can do," Aliadiere, 24, told BBC Radio Cleveland.
"Middlesbrough play how I like to play. This is a good challenge for me and a big opportunity."
Aliadiere started only 19 senior games for the Gunners, scoring nine goals.
The French forward was unvieled at a press conference on Tuesday and becomes Boro's third signing this summer after the arrival of Turkey striker Tuncay Sanli and England defender Jonathan Woodgate.
"I've only been here for two days, but the club has made a good impression on me. The lads have really welcomed me," said Aliadiere.
"At Arsenal I trained with the best player in the world in Thierry Henry. I've learnt a lot from him, and that is why I am here.
"I'm here to help the team achieve things."
