Woodgate joined Boro on loan in August |
Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Woodgate is a doubt for Saturday's Premiership match against Everton after suffering a leg injury in training. The 26-year-old, who moved to Boro on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid in August, has been undergoing treatment for several days.
"Woodgate is doubtful for the game after picking up a leg injury," said a statement on the club website.
"He is having treatment but is unlikely to be fit in time."
Woodgate has the option of a permanent deal at Middlesbrough, with boss Gareth Southgate agreeing a fee with the Spanish giants.
The England international endured an injury-blighted spell with Real, playing only 13 games in his two-year spell.
