Emanuel Pogatetz was carried off with a serious head injury back in March |
Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate is confident that defender Emanuel Pogatetz will be fit to take part in most of his pre-season plans. Pogatetz has been out since March when he suffered a broken nose and fractured a bone near the upper jaw during the Uefa Cup first leg defeat to Basle.
Southgate told the Gazette: "Manu has been working hard during the summer.
"We've got to get him to a level when he won't break down. He will be able to join in with pretty much everything."
