McClaren wants his team to lift their game once again |
Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren has warned his team against the dangers of Cup fatigue as they play Charlton in their 22nd cup tie of the season. Victory in the FA Cup replay would put them in the semi-final, to go with their last four place in the Uefa Cup.
"Our 22nd cup tie, it's remarkable, but it's one of our biggest because the FA Cup gives us two games to get back into Europe - that's the target," he said.
"The players know what's at stake, you have to trust them. It's down to them."

Their recovery from three goals down to beat FC Basle in the Uefa Cup was one of the performances of the season, and McClaren says that having done it once, the players must remember what they are capable of.
"We reached the quarter-final of the Carling Cup earlier this season and we didn't take that opportunity," he said.
"We've now another quarter-final coming up and the players have to take this one, as they did against Basle when they produced a heroic performance.
