Pogatetz had faced a long lay-off before the ban reduction |
Middlesbrough defender Emanuel Pogatetz has had his six-month suspension reduced to eight weeks, reports BBC Radio Cleveland. The 22-year-old, who joined Boro on a five-year deal from Bayer Leverkusen, was banned after breaking a player's leg when on loan at Spartak Moscow.
The incident happened against Shinnik Yaroslavl on 25 June.
But he could now make his debut for the Premiership side on Sunday against Charlton Athletic.
