Boro turn to Zenden
Middlesbrough are lining up Boudewijn Zenden as their next big signing after revealing they are no longer chasing his Dutch team-mate Patrick Kluivert.

Boro have already landed Holland duo Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Michael Reiziger and Australian Mark Viduka.

But chief executive Keith Lamb is keen to sign Zenden, who had a good spell at Boro on loan from Chelsea last season.

"I'm pretty confident that we'll reach an agreement on Bolo being here next season," he told the club's website.

"I have a meeting with Bolo's father scheduled for early this week," Lamb added.

Middlesbrough have created a summer stir by signing top internationals to boost the squad, which finished 11th in the Premiership last season.

And their transfer activity has also fuelled speculation that Riverside favourite Juninho may move on to Celtic.

The only way I would leave would be if the management wanted me to
Juninho

Juninho, however, has vowed to fight for his future at the Riverside.

"There is no truth in the rumours that Celtic have contacted me or that I am seeking a move," he told Middlesbrough's Evening Gazette.

"I am a Middlesbrough player, and everybody knows I want to play for this club. The only way I would leave would be if the management wanted me to.

"I haven't come this far with Boro and now want to leave."
