Stags chief executive Stewart Rickersey leaves club

Mansfield Town

Mansfield Town has confirmed that chief executive Stewart Rickersey has left the club.

A Stags spokesman said Rickersey and operations manager Sharon Rickersey left Field Mill after their positions were made redundant.

He said the club would make no further comment on the issue.

The Blue Square Premier club was bought by local businessmen Andrew Perry, Steve Middleton and Andrew Saunders in June 2008.

That deal brought controversial owner Keith Haslam's 15-year spell in charge to an end.

Businessman and Stags fan Steve Hymas joined the board of directors in January.

Mansfield's slim hopes of reaching the play-offs came to an end when they lost 3-2 at Cambridge on Easter Monday.
