Mansfield Town have completed the signing of much-travelled striker Jefferson Louis to bolster their fight to stay in the Football League. The 28-year-old has agreed terms on a three-month deal at Field Mill.
He told the club's website: "I am delighted to be given the chance at Football League level again.
"Some managers have doubted me, but now I have the chance to prove them wrong. I have to repay the faith which manager (Billy Dearden) has shown in me."
He added: "Everyone here must believe that we can get out of the relegation zone. I certainly believe that we can, having trained with the lads for the past couple of days.
"We have it within us to get out of the drop zone, and I want to play my part."
Louis, who has also played for Bristol Rovers, Oxford United, Woking, Stevenage and Forest Green Rovers, scored eight goals for Weymouth this season but left the Blue Square Premier side in January.
