Mansfield boss Peter Shirtliff has decided to release eight players from his squad including former Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Kevin Pressman. Pressman joins Rhys Day, Gus Uhlenbeek, Jason Talbot, Fraser McLachlan, Adam Rundle, Kyle Jacobs and Allan Russell in departing Field Mill.
Shirtliff told the club's website: "I wish them well for the future.
"But I can't see the point in keeping a player if there isn't much chance of them getting first-team football."
