Defender Gabriel Heinze has added Manchester United's players' player of the year award to his fans' prize. The 27-year-old Argentine full-back beat Wayne Rooney, who was second, and third-placed Cristiano Ronaldo.
"I really value and appreciate their decision, especially when you think it is my first season here," Heinze told Manchester United's official magazine.
Heinze, who won the supporters' player of the year award last week, made 39 starts during his debut season.
He became the first non-European to win the fans' award.
