Paul Scholes has confirmed he has no intention of being lured into making a comeback with England. Scholes, 30, quit the international scene after Euro 2004 to concentrate on his Manchester United career.
"I still feel I've made the right decision and I do feel a little bit fresher," he told MUTV.
"It is nice to know you're still wanted and obviously, when you see the team playing you do miss a little bit of the game, but I have not changed my mind."
England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson had suggested he would again ask Scholes to reconsider his decision, but the player is sticking to his word.
Scholes remained at United over the past fortnight while his former England team-mates have been playing Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan in World Cup qualifiers.
Although he had a sluggish start to the season, United benefited from Scholes' extra rest periods with a run of seven goals in seven Premiership appearances just before Christmas.
Scholes scored twice in the recent FA Cup win over Southampton to take his tally for the season into double figures.
He has scored 126 times for United, and trails only Ryan Giggs among his current team-mates.
