 | FERGUSON'S VIEW |
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admitted Tottenham should have been awarded a goal for Pedro Mendes' shot which crossed the line. But he also insisted his side should have been given a penalty for a foul on Rio Ferdinand in the second half.
"It looked to be over the line, but I wasn't dead sure (at the time). The linesman was scurrying back," he said.
"Everyone's talking about this incident, but we should have had a penalty when Rio went down in the box."
Ferguson said it was worth looking seriously at using video technology to prevent errors over decisions.
"We could have monitors by the pitch, but my concern was it would take too long - maybe a couple of minutes," he said.
"But you can make a decision in 30 seconds - which is the time it can take for a goal-kick or corner to be taken.
"It wouldn't kill the game in terms of wasting time."
