Dutch coach Dick Advocaat has dismissed claims that Manchester United might sell Ruud van Nistelrooy to Real Madrid to fund a bid for Wayne Rooney. Newspaper reports have again claimed that the Holland striker is set for a �30m move to Spain, but Advocaat has reassured United supporters.
"As far as I know Ruud's just signed a new contract for another four years.
"He's happy there, the manager's happy with him, everybody's happy with him - why would he go?" said Advocaat.
"In my opinion, Ruud's the best striker around. It's incredible how he's playing.
"He is a gift from God. He works his socks off and you can see that he's desperate to get the result he wants - to get into the final and score more goals."
