Bojinov celebrates scoring for City in a friendly with AC Milan
Manchester City striker Valeri Bojinov is expected to complete his move to Serie A side Parma on Monday.
Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi said the Bulgarian had already signed, with the transfer fee thought to be in the region of £3m.
A City spokesman said he expected the deal to go through on Monday, once all the paperwork had been finalised.
Bojinov, 24, spent last season on loan at the Italian club, where he scored eight goals in 30 appearances.
The deal was thought to be in jeopardy following a last-ditch move from Sevilla and other Spanish sides, but Parma was Bojinov's preferred destination.
Ghirardi told Sky Italia: "I am very happy to announce the successful outcome of a deal that we have been pursuing since last January.
"We reached an agreement with City. I am grateful to Valeri, who really wanted to stay at Parma. The details of the contract will be established between (general director Pietro) Leonardi and the staff of the player."
Bojinov, who is rumoured to be signing a five-year deal at Parma, was signed for City by Sven-Goran Eriksson from Fiorentina for £5.75m in 2007. Injuries blighted his stay at Eastlands, where he managed only one goal in 11 appearances.
