Manchester City midfielder Stephen Ireland will be sidelined for two weeks with a hamstring injury.

The 23-year-old limped off after 55 minutes of City's 3-0 win over Wolves at Molineux on Monday.

He will miss Saturday's FA Cup tie against Middlesbrough and a Premier League match against Blackburn.

He also looks set to sit out the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final against Manchester United, but should return for the second leg.

Boss Roberto Mancini picked Ireland in his first team for both his opening games in charge.
