Anelka completes Fenerbahce move
Manchester City striker Nicolas Anelka
Nicolas Anelka completed his 7m move from Manchester City to Fenerbahce after passing a medical on Monday.

The 25-year-old French striker has agreed a three-and-a-half year deal with an option of a one-year extension with the Istanbul club.

Anelka arrived by private jet and after passing a medical signed his contract in front of a media circus.

The French striker has now fetched a total of nearly 60m in transfer fees during his career.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger paid Paris St Germain 500,000 for his services in February 1997.

The Gunners sold him to Real Madrid in August 1999 for 22m, but after a short, unhappy spell at the Bernabeu, was sold to PSG for 22m in May 2000.

He had a spell on loan with Liverpool but Manchester City paid 13m for him in June 2002, and he scored 45 goals in his time with City.

Fenerbahce's website said: "Agreement has been reached with Nicolas Anelka, following a deal with his club."

The statement added: "The contract is in line with our wishes and principles."
