Danny Mills has completed his move to Manchester City after negotiating his release from Leeds. The 27-year-old full-back becomes boss Kevin Keegan's third signing of the summer, following Ben Thatcher and Belgian goalkeeper Geert de Vlieger.
"I'm delighted to get a player of his experience," said Keegan.
Mills added: "It's a chance for me to play football in the Premiership - it is a fantastic club with a manager who is passionate about his football."
Mills said he expected City to improve from last year.

"If you look at the quality of the players here and the squad, everyone had expected City to finish higher up the league," he said.
"Now with the few new additions to the squad, we can go on to achieve a higher place next season.
Leeds agreed to release Mills from that deal and not request a fee because they needed to get his wages off their pay-roll in the wake of the club's relegation from the Premiership.
They have already seen Paul Robinson, Alan Smith, James Milner, Dominic Matteo, Mark Viduka, Nick Barmby and Stephen McPhail move on this summer.
Keegan, meanwhile, hinted that he had another transfer to make in the close season.
"There are other areas of the team that still need strengthening. I'm looking to make one more signing before the start of the season."
